But don’t worry, Lilova still look like your regular undies with a thickness under 3mm.

Each of our styles has a different absorbency.

- 1/2 a tampon's worth for the "you never know" kind of days or as a backup to tampons or cups.

- 2 and 2.5 tampons' worth for your medium flow days

- 4 and 5 tampons' worth for your heavy flow days.

Of course it is! Our 4 layers work together to make sure Lilova keeps you dry and germ-free. One of the inside layers is made naturally anti-microbial thanks to the fabric used which fight odors and bacteria. 

No diaper or pad feel here! Though they contain multi-layers, our undies are not too bulky and actually breezy. They should feel like regular underwear (if not better!)

The leak-proof layers work together to wick away moisture and odors to keep you dry & fresh, while absorbing the liquid. You won't feel any wetness.

Nope. Not at all!

Our undies have an organic cotton inner layer in the crotch - the one touching your skin - that is wicking the liquid inside very quickly (so that you also feel dry!). Once the liquid reaches the second layer made of microfiber, the PHBV/PLA inside works on fighting bacteria and odors to keep you fresh and odor-free.

.Just make sure you follow the care instructions properly. 

2 golden rules: rinse your Lilova right after use and dont let them soaking.

Lilova are slightly thicker than regular undies but definitely not too bulky.

If you ask us, they are 10 times more comfortable than pads! An organic cotton fabric is so much nicer on your skin down there than the plastic from regular pads.

We would never offer a product that we aren't 100% sure are safe for you!

Our panties are being tested not once but twice during production by external laboratories for potentially harmful chemicals, and then again after production. They are certified PFAS-free!

Our products are also always free of silver nanoparticles, and we only use GOTS-certified organic cotton and OEKO-TEX 100 materials.

We also keep them anti-microbial thanks to the layer we use for absorbency inside the underwear: it is a microfiber fabric that contains PHBV/PLA. This fabric naturally fights odors and bacteria. No tricky ingredients added here!

Our underwear are made with fabrics like organic cotton, polyester (for absorbency) and elastane (for stretch). Some have a nylon outer layer, but not all.

What we can guarantee is that all cottons used are GOTS certified organic cotton, all fabrics are OEKO-TEX 100 certified, and they contain no harmful chemicals, no PFAS, no silver nanoparticles. They are lab-tested 3 times during production.

They are all 100% latex-free and fragrance-free.

Lilova are designed by women in New York City and are manufactured in China. 

Our products are carefully and consciously hand-crafted in a sustainable way and in ethical working conditions. We visited both firms ourselves and have processes to make sure that everything is made with dignity and mindfulness. The manufacturers operate under three pillars: employee well-being (well-balanced workdays, transportation and free meals), female leadership (safe working conditions, education and long-term opportunities) and environmental sustainability (recycled and recyclable materials, zero waste goal).

All of our underwear are packed in an individual cloth pouch (super cute and that you can keep and use!)

Our mailers are reusable, 100% recycled and recyclable!

Numbers are in: an average menstruator uses 5 to 15 thousand pads and tampons in a lifetime. And the vast majority of them will end up in landfills and oceans, and will take 500 years to decompose as they are mainly made of plastic and chemicals. So basically they'll be on your planet much longer than you will.

That’s a whole lot of waste that can be avoided by switching to reusable period panties. And they will also make you save money with all the single-use disposable products you won't have to buy each month anymore.

It is basically up to you and your flow!

Our styles with a 4 or 5 tampons' worth of absorbency are absorbent enough to be worn alone even on your heaviest days/nights for most people. But some with super heavy flow might need an extra pair to change or use them as a backup to disposables.

Our styles with a 0.5 to 3 tampons' worth of absorbency are great to use as back-up to tampons/pads/cups/etc or alone on lighter days.

So we suggest trying Lilova at home first on your heaviest day to see how long you can wear your Lilova without a leak. 

We decided to differentiate our absorbency by the number of regular tampons' worth of liquid they can absorb. For each of our styles, you'll see the number of tampons associated.

Choose the highest absorbency if your flow is heavy and you want to free bleed wearing them alone. If you have a lighter flow, or just want a backup to wear with a cup or tampon, our lighter absorbency styles might be just what you're looking for.

Here’s a quick rundown:

4-5 tampons' worth of absorbency: Equivalent to 40-50mL. When to use: Alone on your heavy days - usually on the second and third day of your period when your flow is the heaviest. Also in the first week of postpartum. Or if you have medium bladder leaks.

2-3 tampons' worth of absorbency: Equivalent to 20-25ml. When to use: Alone on your light-moderate period days, or as back-up on your moderate-heavy days. Also great for postpartum (after the first week), or for light bladder leaks.

0.5 tampon's worth of absorbency: Equivalent to 5ml. When to use: Alone on light period days (usually the last day of your periods, or when you aren't sure they are coming yet or they are truly gone!), as backup to other products, or for sneaky leaks, sweat & discharge.

It depends on your flow!

The styles with a 4 or 5 tampons' worth of absorbency were designed to last all day or overnight even on heavy days for most women. But if your flow is extra-heavy, you may need to have to change them once.

After you develop some experience with them, you should be able to feel when they start being full and need a change. They will wick moisture less quickly and start feeling damp. That should be your cue to change them!

But you can definitely wear them for as long as you feel comfortable, even overnight.

We do not recommend wearing them for more than 12 hours for hygienic reasons.

When you notice blood at the seams, that's a good indication that it's time to change pairs! Or when you start feeling wet, it's a good sign that the underwear is starting to be full and needs to be changed.

We suggest bringing along a wet bag — so that if you need to change, you can safely store the used pair without worrying about odors.

We recommend starting with 3-5 pairs so you can always have a clean one during your cycle.

And if you don’t want to hand-wash them or do extra laundry, then get a few more pairs!

Yes you can. Our most absorbent styles will absorb light to medium bladder leaks from stress incontinence (sneezing, laughing, jumping, running...) to low urgency incontinence (can't hold pee long enough to reach a bathroom).

New moms love wearing Lilova underwear postpartum! The heavy absorbency styles can be worn for the first few days following birth when your flow is still heavy. While the medium absorbency styles are perfect to wear until your bleeding stops.

So much more comfortable than disposable mesh undies and bulky pads! Because who has time to worry about bleeding leaks with a newborn to take care of?

Yes dear! Lilova are actually more breathability than regular undies. The moisture-wicking organic cotton inner layer as well as the anti-mocrobial lining make Lilova more hygienic than panty liners. Lilova will actually help with your discomfort.

It is as easy as 1, 2, 3.

Step 1: Rinse right after use, in cool water until it runs clean (do not soak, do not use hot water as it damages the fibers used to make our underwear waterproof)

Step 2: Machine wash, now or later, separately or with your laundry, on cold cycle, without using fabric softener or harsh detergents (these prevent the liquid from travelling through the layers)

Step 3: Hang Dry, reuse and repeat! Your Lilova should remain effective for many years if you follow these 3 simple rules.

Pro tip: use a mesh laundry bag to protect their laces and delicate fabric.

If the item keeps having an odor, we recommend soaking it overnight in cool water with a few spoons of white vinegar

Lilova should not retain scent if cared properly, but if you think they need extra care, try a vinegar soak. Before washing, soak them with 1 cup of white vinegar and 1-2 cups of water. Leave for 15-30 minutes, then machine-wash them as usual (no fabric softener please!).

You can also try to machine-wash them adding 1 cup of white vinegar in the fabric softener compartment (it won't leave any scent, we swear!)

But you may need to check with your plan for details. To request a reimbursement, your plan may require you to fill out a claim form. Keep your order confirmation email handy to use as an itemized receipt, which may be required for reimbursement.

For US orders:

If you chose economic shipping, it will take 3-5 business days to be delivered. So you could receive your order within 4 to 6 business days.

If you chose express shipping, it will take 1-2 business days to be delivered. So you could receive your order within 2 to 3 business days.

For international shipping, shipping time depends on the country but shipping can take as long as 3 weeks if you opted for Economy fare.

Of course this is unless you have ordered a product that is not in stock yet, in which case the shipping date will be mentioned on the product page.

Because we always try to process your orders as quickly as possible, we cannot guarantee we will be able to process any change or cancellation once an order is placed.

Because should you reject paying for these fees and goods are returned to us, we will refund you the goods minus the costs charged to us for shipping to your country, plus return shipping and any additional charges applied by the shipping carrier (that’s if we get the goods back! As a first-time customer only, you may try one Lilova underwear for 30-days risk-free. If you and your Lilova are not meant to be, we will happily refund you the cost of your Lilova (minus the cost of shipping). We’ll just need you to give us the reason why you weren't convinced by your Lilova before processing your refund. (This will help us offer our customers an always-better product). The 30-day risk-free trial applies to one worn garment only. 

But does it mean I have to place my first order with only one Lilova?

No! You can buy more than one Lilova on your first order (the more you buy, the more discount you have), and if you are not happy with how Lilova work, you can return all unworn garments in original packaging, with hygiene sticker intact, clearly unused and odor-free for a refund (minus the shipping cost and restocking fee). We offer a pre-paid return label for domestic orders.
